Whether a function of climate change or simply hard summer rains, the bottoms of the doors get a lot of splash from the patio (see below). As a result, I decided to clear coat the bottom portions with epoxy before going much further. This idea occurred to me before final installation, but for two of the doors, after priming. In order for the epoxy to achieve maximum benefit, I had to sand back to bare wood, which is how I spent my morning.
